MUST SEE
Andy Warhol’s Flowers for Tacoma
Opens Saturday (11/3-2/10/10) —  In 1982, artist Andy Warhol proposed a giant flower design to top the (still under construction) Tacoma Dome. Thirty years later, his audacious pitch is the inspiration for Tacoma Art Museum’s new exhibit of over 100 pieces by Warhol, including the one he thought would be right at home on the Dome. If you think Warhol’s suggestion is the best idea since repainting the Space Needle Galaxy Gold, join this community group rallying for its realization. p.s. Washington Beer Blog has the scoop on Harmon Brewery’s (also in Tacoma) Warhol-inspired IPA.
11/3-2/13/2013. Closed Mon-Tues. Times and prices vary. Tacoma Art Museum, 1701 Pacific Avenue, Tacoma; 253.272.4258; tacomaartmuseum.org
