What do you get when Vietnamese food and Filipino food get married and make babies? Banh mi with chicken Adobo filling, of course!

Husband-and-wife team Cathy and Romano Basilio are rolling out their gastronomic love child, Xplosive Mobile Food Truck, sometime in late spring or early summer. In addition to Adobo, their foot-long banh mi sandwiches will also be filled with choices like lemongrass grilled pork or chicken, Filipino-style stir-fried beefsteak, tofu, and Longaniza (Filipino sweet pork sausage). Viaduct for Dummies: Another SR99 slowdown coming; 520 taking shape

There's a lot of discussion today about the fate of tolling on the soon-to-exist SR 99 tunnel, on the heels of yesterday's "tunnel tolling committee" meeting. Seems something interesting is happening around here since the 520 tolls went into effect: People are surprisingly willing to sit in terrible traffic to avoid paying tolls. Tell me about it.
