One year ago this week, Seattleite Katlin Jackson launched Haiti Babi, a Haitian-based organization that teaches the women there a skill (knitting and crocheting) and offers them a chance to use that skill to provide for themselves and their children by making cotton baby blankets that are then sold online and in retail stores to women in this country who are in need of a stylish baby gift that keeps on giving.
