The 2014 World Cup in Brazil begins June 12

With 32,000 Seattle Sounders season ticket holders and countless other soccer fans in the city, 2014 FIFA World Cup promises to generate some serious revenue for lucky (or just smart?) local sports bars and brew pubs. All it takes is a big screen or seven…and a whole lotta cold hops. From June 12 to July 13, 32 soccer teams will play 64 World Cup games—which, at roughly three games per day, means a huge opportunity for Seattleites to do what we love best: drink beer and cheer on our favorite teams.
