Village Maternity Celebrates 30 Years this September

30 years of moms, dads and babies have passed through the doors of this U Village shop

University Village opened in 1956 and while all of its original inhabitants (save the QFC) are gone and the mall has changed considerably, Village Maternity is celebrating its 30th anniversary in September with a month full of in-store events, a new website with ecommerce and 5 percent of all sales to Children’s Hospital in honor of founder Shelley Capretto, who, daughter Anna Williams explains, passed away in January. Gorilla Perfumes At Lush

Experience the smell of furze, the Druids, lavender and other British scents at Lush this August

The Westlake Center Lush is one of nine US stores receiving a visit from Gorilla Perfumes Album 2, nine new unisex scents from British father and son team Mark and Simon Constantine. From August 10 through 31 Seattle fragrance lovers will get the chance to sniff the supremely weird scent combos inspired by “the British countryside and its ancient heritage, music, emotions and literary figures,” meant to be “an antidote to boring mass-market scents.” Read more »

Okay, no one likes getting a good cocktail in a bar more than me (well, a few people do). With a happy bartender making me well-crafted drinks, or pouring me a well-poured beer or glass of wine, I’m a happy person.
