The holiday season is now in full swing, and there are an assortment of fun, spirted events you should think about attending. Plus, if you’re getting ready to host a holiday happening, you’ll want to hear about the new spirits and liqueur delivery service offered from Downtown Spirits.

Holiday Cocktails with Me at Zinc, 12/6, from 4 to 7
I’m co-hosting a sparkling holiday cocktail and art soirée at Zinc Art+Interiors in Edmonds on December 6, from 4 to 7 p.m., and you should stop by. I’ll be making two effervescent sippers from Champagne Cocktails, the Italian favorite the Spagliato and holiday hit the Bubbly Poinsettia, plus the Jessaura, a holiday treat created especially for the event. Also, there’ll be art from amazing artist Amy Hevron, whose magical creations feature a whole heard of bison, monkeys, sprites, bears and more loveliness! Plus, Zinc, which stocks its shelves with a wide range of hip interior décor, is a great place to kick off your holiday shopping. And there’ll be snacks, too. So stop by Zinc, 102 3rd Ave S, Edmonds, and say a holiday hello this weekend.

Sun Liquor First Annual Nog Ball
There’s no drink that says winter holidays quite like Eggnog. Sun Liquor is underlining this point with its first annual Nog Ball on December 11. It has been making delicious Eggnog every year since 2006 at its two bars, and the boozy nog has become so popular Sun Liquor is bottling it and making it available to the public. The Nog Ball is at the Sun Liquor distillery facility on Pike Street. You’ll need to purchase tickets, but the proceeds from the event are going to be donated (Sun really has the true holiday spirit) to Wellspring Family Services, which helps families in crisis. At the ball you’ll get to taste its Eggnog, and also taste wonderful goodies from the likes of 2bar Spirits, Caffe Vita, Hilliards Beer, Off the Rez, Snoqualmie Ice Cream, Snowdrift Cider, Standard Brewing, Top Pot Doughnuts and Vinum Importing’s For a Song Wine. Holiday Cocktail Classics Class from E. Smith Mercantile
Get ready to throw the perfect holiday fête by learning how to make some traditional holiday party drinks from E. Smith’s bartender Jesse Poole, who not only makes swell drinks but is one of the friendliest drink shakers in town. During the class you’ll get the scoop on how to construct a better and exciting Spanish Coffee, Hot Buttered Rum from scratch, and the legendary and awesome Tom & Jerry. But it won’t just be recipes and demonstrations–you’ll also get the history behind the drinks, a bunch of tips for holiday drink success, drinks tastings, snacks and beyond. The class is on Saturday, December 6, from 2 to 4 p.m. (hey, it’s the perfect thing to do before coming to Zinc). Learn more and get tickets.
