Popular West Edge fixture, The Finerie, has taken advantage of the vacancy provided by Great Jones Home from the very cool building at 1921 Second Ave. to launch a temporary pop-up shop on the other edge of downtown.

While the original location focuses exclusively on clothing and accessories, the Finerie CoLab has a mixture of décor, apothecary and clothing, with a strong showing from local designers including Rosanna and Rian.

While the shop has been softly open for a few months, the crew is throwing a huge grand opening bash on Thursday, June 26 from 7 to 10 p.m. complete with bevvies, nibbles, truffles and dancing.

Owner Tanya Friberg reports that the building is slated for demolition sometime next year, and plans to ride out the temporary space until then. Regular hours are 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Swing by the new shop, hit up Ian next door and Fancy across the street, then head around the corner to Baby and Company and Jack Straw for a nice few hours of quintessential Seattle boutique shopping.
