Not sure where to take pops this Father’s Day? We’ve got you covered from Pike Place to Woodiniville. Just depends on what kind of dad you’ve got – bratwurst-lover or ice cream fiend. Read on to find your fatherly spot on June 21.

The Hollywood Tavern, Woodiniville

Traditional dads will relish the chef’s burger made with certified Angus prime, grilled pineapple, stone-ground aioli, and all the fixings. Having Woodiniville Whiskey as your neighbor means The Hollywood Tavern’s bar boasts 32 whiskeys and their famous Whiskey Milkshake. A special brunch menu will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. but the restaurant will be celebrating Father’s Day until 9:30 p.m.

Volunteer Park Cafe, Capitol Hill

Dad got a sweet tooth? He’ll love the cookies crafted in the shapes of ties, bowties and mustaches and golf-themed and fish-themed cupcakes. Chef-owner Ericka Burke will also be presenting her epic family-style Sunday Supper featuring a wedge salad, pot roast, and cherry pie in honor of all Dads. Cost is $40 and reservations are highly recommended.

Rhein Haus, Central District

Saying Happy Father’s Day in German means a plate full of many favorites, including schweinschaxe, a crispy braised pork shank with jus and pickled apple mustard topped with pork crackling, (ja, bitte); polish kielbasa, herbed spatzle, sauerkraut, a half-liter of Rhein Haus lager, and more for $21. Wunderbar! Yummies available 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and reservations are recommended.

Sazerac, Downtown

If Dad likes his bratwurst dirty (that means with a shot) then take him down to the New Orleans-themed Sazerac for A Beer, A Brat & A Shot and treat him to one house-made bratwurst with Creole mustard and beer-braised onions on a Dutch crunch roll; choice of beer (Local Red Hook Blonde Ale or Local Mack & Jacks African Amber Ale) and choice of shot (we recommend the Bulleit Bourboun) to dunk into the brew. At $15 a pop, we know your pop will be proud.

Pike Place Market

Lucky for Dad that the launch of Pike Place’s Summer Family-FUN Days (10 a.m. to noon every third Sunday through September) coincides with Father’s Day. That means while he’s trolling for goodies, the kids (ages 3 to 12) can make him a card at the free Father’s Day card station then partake in a reading by Seattle author Katherine Pryor of Sylvia’s Spinach from the bed of the old fashioned Pike Place Market farm truck. For an extra special treat, you can head to an exclusive Dyne event in the Atrium Kitchen between 1 and 3 p.m. for an epic ice cream sandwich collaberation with Vanessa’s and Sweet Lo. Tickets are $6 .

We know dads love ice cream.
