Downtown crime: A shooting last night around 8 p.m. at Second Avenue and Pine Street left two men wounded. According to King 5 news, witnesses said they heard “between 12 and 20 shots.” There is still no word on who the gunman might be or the reason for the attack.

The operating system will now run universal apps across PC, tablet, phone and Xbox One, plus offers a voice assistant for your computer that reminds us of the movie Her. Ferry commuters at the Colman Dock had a smelly start to their morning today: A dead whale was spotted underneath one of the slips at the Washington state ferry terminal last night around 11 p.m. The type of whale has not yet been determined, but Kiro 7 News reports that “it’s about 25 feet to 30 feet long.” The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has been called in to remove the animal.
Soccer star Hope Solo is in trouble again, and this time she’s been suspended from the U.S. women’s national team for 30 days. While the soccer association has not said why she’s been suspended, it’s possible that it has something to do with her husband’s recent arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. Solo was in the car at the time of his arrest, and reports have surfaced that she had been “acting belligerent” and “pulled out her cellphone to record officers during the stop.”
