You know those buzzy, soft openings that restaurant people are always going to? Where friends and family of the chef and others close to the project get to dine at the restaurant before it even opens to the public? Well, now you’re invited, too.

From the folks behind the One Night Only Project comes a sneak peek at Vendemmia, a soon-to-open Italian restaurant in Madrona (1126 34th Ave.). On May 22, chef-owner Brian Clevenger (Ethan Stowell’s Tavolata) will preview dishes from his menu, starting with beef tartare, hand-cut, light-as-air gnocchi and whole-roasted, bone-in pork loin with wild-foraged nettle. It’ll be a family style feast ending with strawberry crostata and bay leaf gelato.

Each course will be paired with wines from Paul Gregutt’s Waistburg Cellars. The wine-writer-turned-winemaker’s portfolio includes some super quaffable and Alsatian-inspired aromatic white wines, including the zippy, 2013 Chevray, 100 percent old-vine Chenin Blanc from the Columbia Valley.

Yeah, we thought you’d want to know.

The four-course dinner costs $100 and includes tax, tip and wine pairings.

Get your tickets before, well, someone else is invited.
