Our city’s growing hip-hop scene gained more national attention last summer, when Sub Pop Records picked up local duo THEESatisfaction (Catherine Harris-White and Stasia Irons). The playful twosome has been wowing Seattle crowds with self-released EPs and infectious live shows since 2008, and at press time were about to release their first full-length album.

To celebrate, they’ll play several shows—including two for kids, as part of Town Hall’s Saturday Family Concerts series. Given that certain THEESatisfaction songs might raise questions parents aren’t quite ready to broach, we’re eager to see how the ladies mix things up for a significantly younger set.

Will their masterful ability to read a crowd translate to a crowd that can’t yet read? We’re betting on it.

2/18. 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. $5–$25. Kids 12 and younger, free. Town Hall, 1119 Eighth Ave.; townhallseattle.org. Tickets: 800.838.3006; brownpapertickets.com.
