When it comes to treats, we don’t discriminate. And we appreciate when the city’s premier treatmakers don’t, either. Thank you, Cupcake Royale, for offering insanely delicious premium ice cream, crafted, no less, by some of Seattle’s top chefs throughout the summer. Jonathan Sundstrom’s Brown Butter with Salted Caramel Pecans is a revelation.

Now, Trophy Cupcakes is getting in on the action with…wait for it…soft serve. They start with Snoqualmie Ice Cream and add their own special touch. Currently, Madagascar Bourbon vanilla and Valrhona chocolate are on the menu. They rolled out the delectably smooth soft serve at their Wallingford shop (1815 North 45th St) with plans to add it to their three other locations (word is University Village is next then Bellevue and Pacific Place).

In addition to classic cones, they’re offering specialty cones that are dipped, rolled, drizzled and sprinkled with toppings you’re used to biting into on their cupcakes. There will also be cupcake sundaes (yes, like Cupcake Royale’s, ahem), floats, milkshakes, Affogato and super tiny Barbie-sized cones that you can request by saying “put a cone on it” as a topping for cupcakes.

See how they just went treat full circle there?

Anyway, put on some stretchy pants and get yourself to Wallingford. We’re currently obsessed with the Chocolate Covered Pretzel. It’s Madagascar vanilla soft serve rolled in salted pretzels, dipped in chocolate, drizzled in caramel and sprinkled in fleur de sel.

Um. Yeah.
