Our annual beer-tasting event is nigh. Don't wait too long to snag your tickets

Last year was our first ever Brew Seattle event and–self-serving pats on the back here–it was a grand success. Tickets for the 2013 tasting affair sold out at rapid clip because: beer. But what we especially loved about the brew-filled bash was that it only featured suds from Seattle breweries.

If you happened to miss Brew Seattle last fall, it’s back again for round two. This time it’s all happening Friday, October 10 at the Fremont Foundry. And just like last year, you’ll have the chance to taste stellar brews from more than 20 breweries and cideries around town, plus bites such as pulled pork sliders from Pinky’s BBQ. For a list of all the participating breweries and what they’ll have on tap, see the end of this article.

We also have the full details on all the yums that will be served alongside your brews. Feed on a Pinky’s Kitchen barbecue extravaganza, including: pulled pork two ways (Original applewood smoked pork with your choice of sauce or whiskey sauce-soaked pulled pork), spice-rubbed chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, corn bread and mac ‘n cheese. On the lighter side, there will be fresh fruit from local online marketplace Farmstr, while on the not-so-lighter side: the infamous ice cream beer floats from Bluebird Brewery.

Watch our interview with Dan, tasting room manager at Two Beers Brewing, to find out what the SoDo brewery will be pouring at the event.

We’ll also be holding the contest for Brewery of the Year once again. (Big Al’s Brewing currently holds the impressive title. See video below.) So while you’re tasting your way through Seattle’s finest, you’ll have the chance to vote for your favorite.

Brew Seattle general admission tickets for $40 are available now. With your ticket, you get six tasting tokens, which are used to get 5-ounce tastes from any of the breweries in your personalized mini beer mug (additional tasting tokens will be on sale at the event), food galore including the aforementioned barbecue, beer floats from Bluebird Brewery and locally farmed produce from Farmstr.

Tickets are on sale now! Buy yours here.
