This weekend, December 15 and 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., more than 30 emerging product, jewelry, textile and furniture designers will gather at the Caffe Vita bean room in a creative convergence of epic proportions, called The Blak/Designmart.

Organized by Brite Collective, expect amazing (black-colored) gift options (for your friends/family/self) from Irene Wood, Ladies & Gentlemen Studio, Free Time Industries, Grain, &c., and many more talents on the cutting edge of what’s cool. A separate section will be set up with gifts from across the color spectrum.

Wear black to celebrate the theme (white was a few years ago), and enjoy special black drinks and other consumables. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Seattle Design Foundation, a new organization committed to supporting local designers in a range of disciplines with the tools they need to succeed.
