Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival
7/3-7/4 (Saturday & Sunday) - Celebrate the art of the boat at this annual family-friendly festy where everything is fun and almost everything is free. This old-fashioned, down-home waterfront festival includes visiting vessels, public boat rides, activities for kids, a scavenger hunt, family boat building, food vendors, live music, and whole lot more. South Lake Union Fireworks Show
7/4 (Sunday) - Okay, this might be the only in-city fireworks show left in Seattle (thanks, Tom Douglas and Dave Ross!) but it's still a can't-miss way to celebrate the Fourth. We recommend walking or biking to the Eastlake side of the paved Cheshiahud Lake Union Loop trail, and securing a good spot waterside. Laff Hole Celebrates 40 Years of Bumbershoot
7/7 (Wednesday) - Wish our gigantic arts and music fest a happy birthday at this comedic roast by the People's Republic of Komedy, featuring comedians who will grace the comedy stage at the ’Shoot in September. 9 p.m., $7. Chop Suey, 1325 E Madison St.; prokomedy.org
