Who Lives There? Inside the Smith Tower

Ever wonder what it'd be like to live in one of the city’s tallest building? Last week's New York Times Magazine piece, "Who Lives There?" gave Seattleites and the nation a peek at a family doing exactly that.

The Smith Tower, built in 1914, is currently home to husband and wife David Lahaie and Petra Franklin Lahaie. The space, originally a pyramid-topped glass lighthouse, is home to the couple and their two daughters. How did this family end up living on top of Seattle? Petra Franklin Lahaie won a long-term lease to what she calls this extraordinaty apartment the "Lighthouse."
