Craft Beer + Corner Store = Convenience Heaven

By:
Rachel Hart

As much as I hope to check visiting all the great new craft breweries that Kendall Jones wrote about in our current Beer issue off my beer bucket list over the next several months, it’s unlikely to happen.

This is why I am especially grateful for the most recent trend in the evolution of the convenience store: the craft beer convenience store. Read more »

My Goodness in the Building

The boys of Seattle band My Goodness are currently sitting in our office lobby, posing for pictures shot by our staff photographer Hayley Young. She's making them do all sorts of funny screaming and heavy breathing for the pictures. It's quite amusing - but they are great sports about it.

Don't know who My Goodness is? Take a moment to rock out with them here:

X Factor Update: Team Lomax Still Cuter

Last night's X Factor episode was bumped to a delayed baseball game (woe!), so we have to wait until tonight to really deliberate over which Seattle contestant is the best.

Seattle's Cutest Dog is...

Saxon! How can you not fall in love with such a goofy, blissful redhead (shown above and below)?

In case you missed it: we asked readers to share pictures of their own dogs to complement our October story about "Seattle's Dog Obsession."

We then decided to choose the cutest dog from those submissions.

Submitted by Wyatt Lewin

Settling on this totally biased and arbitrary decision was very difficult. Seattle mag readers posted so many wonderful pictures of adorable pups on our Facebook wall, we could barely breathe, let alone make a rational decision.

Thanks to all who played along and submitted your lovely pictures. They certainly helped brighten up a grey day.

Scroll down to enjoy a small selection of the "runners up." Or visit our Facebook wall for a raw and uncut cuteness overload.

Where Would We Be Without Steve Jobs?

At a gathering with friends last night, we exchanged regrets about the news of Steve Jobs' death.

Later (read: a few beers later), we fell into a debate over who was more influential in our lives: Steve Jobs or Albert Einstein?

The conversation never really settled on a sensible answer. Because it's not a sensible question.

Whatever, it was late. Read more »
