Fashion & Style Friday: Nala Seattle
Finding affordable workout gear you aren’t ashamed to wear in public is a challenge. To help solve this gym-to-streetwear conundrum, busy local moms Laurie Barokas and Nancy Cirillo have created the NaLa line of comfy, chic workout clothes with a stylish, spirited twist.
The flirty, feminine details in Barokas and Cirillo’s line (wide bell sleeves on lounge tops, twisted straps on workout tanks, cowl neck hoodie tops) will inject new life into your yoga, running or workout routine. Our new favorite is their little running skirt (pictured above), just one example of a NaLa garment we could live in--literally.
This month, Barokas and Cirillo sweat it out teaching a class at David Barton Gym at The Bravern on Tuesday mornings at 10 a.m. The first two sessions are free (space is limited; RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org); we bet it would be worth stopping by to see what the stylish duo is wearing.
To see more Nala, go here or pick up garments at Finch and Sparrow (Fremont, 3420 Fremont Ave N.; 206.547.3670; finchnsparrow.blogspot.com). We’ll have the complete scoop and latest designs from Nala in our March issue, so be sure to check it out.
