SCOOP: New International District Art Walk
This just in: Chinatown and the International District will soon be home to the city's newest art walk. Participants will include Kobo Gallery, Higo Variety Store, a travelling collection from ArtXchange, highlights from the largest collection of Bruce Lee memorabilia, alleyway art, Kau Kau’s famous BBQ pork and outdoors street performers.
What: Chinatown International District Art Walk Series When: Saturday, July 18, 2009; Saturday, August 15, 2009; Saturday, September 19, 2009 Hours: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Where: More than 15 locations throughout Chinatown/ID. Maps available at: starting point Theatre Off Jackson and all art walk venues Who: Featuring works/performances from local artists at venues such as the Theatre Off Jackson, Wing Luke Asian Museum, KOBO Gallery at Higo, Panama Tea House, Momo, and Hing Hay Park as well as specially priced cuisine from neighborhood restaurants such as Fortuna, Henry’s Bento, J Sushi and more.
