Checking in with great Tuesday deals as we continue to count down to Thursday’s big Fashion First fashion show. I’ve got my hair appointment scheduled for Thursday afternoon at Swink Style Bar (also one of our Shopping Week Out participants, offering 20% discounts on their retail makeup products), but am still looking for that perfect mini skirt to pair with tights and ankle boots for the show.

Looking ahead at the next week makes me both extremely giddy—and heel-weary. Fall shopping season kicks off tomorrow night with Fashion Night Out. Both The Bravern and The Bellevue Collection will host FNO bashes starting in the early evening with special discounts, giveaways (free Jimmy Choo tote at the Bravern!), contests (enter win a $2,500 Nordstrom shopping spree, plus a session with a Nordy personal shopper) and cocktails for shoppers.

Thisisbrandx.com had a nice piece today on dailybooth.com, the latest in a new wave of social media that emphasizes community building through visuals and pictures. The site was founded by Noah Kalina, a photo student who rose to Youtube fame when he posted a five-minute time lapse video comprised of six years worth of digi cam self-portraits.
