Last week, Tom Douglas announced via Twitter (@TomDouglasCo) that Cuoco, the Italian pasta house that anchors his revamped brick Terry Avenue Building, was open.

At Cuoco, longtime Tom Douglas pastaiola Martha Francis will work alongside Cuoco chef Stuart Lane (who last awed us at Cafe Juanita) to create dishes like gnocchi with nettle pesto, hazelnuts and pancetta; fresh pea risotto with pea vines and ham hock; artichoke raviolie with mascarpone and Parmesan. And that's just the pasta!

Equally enticing are the antipasto and contorni: sausage-stuffed calimari on a white bean cake; sweetbreads with grapes and fennel seeds; and lardo crostini.

More info and the rest of the menu can be found here.

The other two Tom Douglas-owned restaurants in the Terry Avenue Building are Ting Momo and Brave Horse Tavern.

Brave Horse Tavern is open for lunch and dinner. The 21+  Tavern serves bar snacks like crab dip with Saltines, warm pretzels with cheddar-pimento spread, burgers and a barbecued brisket "dip" that sounds pretty darn tasty. More here.

Ting Momo will serve Tibetan dumplings at lunchtime, when the dumpling of the day might be five spice-rubbed duck (Thur) or cumin-roasted goat with coriander chutney (hello! that's the Friday special). The dumpling makers were fast at work when I peeked in the window last week, and I just got word that Ting Momo will open for business Monday, April 18th. Whattaya say we meet for lunch in the SLU?
