Sad news: Madrona's Cameos & Crowns is closing just as soon as her current inventory is sold, which from the sounds of it, will be soon, given everything is 50 percent off until then.

Mia Fioravanti
Mia Fioravanti showed up on our radar thanks to a tip from Juniper boutique owner Lisa Clinton, whose Madrona shop was the first in town to carry this Beacon Hill designer. “Her designs are so simple and elegant. I was immediately drawn to them,” Clinton says. “The drape and style of her pieces are well thought out, and flattering and comfortable on a range of body types.” The same goes for age, says Fioravanti, who isn’t trying to design for the younger demographic alone.

Natalie Russo Eyelash Jewelry
Seattleite Natalie Russo is taking eyelashes to new heights (one could argue, never before seen heights) with sets of incredibly zany handmade false ones. The sky is the limit with Russo's Eyelash Jewelry collection: grapefruits, bubble bath accoutrements, unicorns, glow in the dark googly eyes—her designs are a perfect nod to Seattle’s rave and festival culture.

Chances are you’ve heard of the BluePrint juice cleanse. Michael Kors does it. Jason Wu does it. Rachel Roy and Blake Lively do it. Ali Brownrigg does it (ok, just did it) and now, thanks to its recent launch at area Whole Foods, you can do it to. (Although, BluePrint will also deliver directly to your door through the mail if you're not close to a Whole Foods.)

I’m lazy. If I’m going to eat something that’s good for me, it’s got to be delicious, which is why I have a hard time eating right. I love vegetables, especially in cheesy gratins, which is counterproductive, and I’m a sugar and carb fiend with unpredictable blood sugar issues, which makes my cravings wicked mean when I try to fast.

It’s still new in the New Year, there’s time to re-up your follow through on your resolutions in case you feel yourself slipping. In that spirit, I’ll be posting about a different aspect of clean living each day this week—as much for myself as for you. This week: Bar Method

By far one of my most fav stores in Seattle (one I sadly rarely get to visit because I've always got my kids with me) is Far4. I just love Jenny and Yuri's eye for sophisticated, but totally eccentric and unique, home decor, jewelry, accessories and of course, porcelain. It's sale time at Far4 with all items in the store at least 10 percent off, including 15 percent off jewelry and 20 percent off 2-D art. The kids are with the nanny today—I'm so there.

It's cold, gross and rainy and all you want to be is cozy. Good thing Icebreaker has come to town. Located in the old Betsey Johnson store on Fifth Avenue, Icebreaker is a New Zealand company that uses Merino wool to make a line of clothing that is perfect for Seattle. It's wool, so it's warm. It breathes, so it wicks away moisture from the body and helps regulate body temperature. It's soft, which is nice.
