Next time this happens, remember there are healthy late night options on our Seattle streets that are just as satisfying as that deep fried mystery meat on a stick. From Capitol Hill to Fremont, here are some healthy midnight snacks you won’t regret in the morning and will help keep your healthy eating habits on track.
Visit Taco Gringos (1510 E Olive Way, Seattle, WA 98122), a hole in the wall where you can get a gourmet taco in under two minutes for just $2.00. Opt for the veggie taco for a low-fat treat with unique flavors and fresh ingredients. Open until 3 a.m.
There are many late-night temptations in Belltown, but Kushibar (2319 2nd Avenue, Seattle, WA 98121) is your best bet. Order kushiyaki (grilled chicken, veggies, or seafood on skewers) and ignore the fried or tempura’d menu options. Open until 2 a.m.
Sometimes, you just want a hot dog. If you’re out near the High Dive (513 North 36th St., Seattle, WA 98103) on Friday or Saturday night, grab a Field Roast veggie sausage at Dante's Inferno Dogs. Choose between Mexican Chipotle or Apple Sage and save yourself the fat, preservatives, and additional calories from the beef franks. Open until 2:00 a.m.
