I’m not going to lie--I tend to love the majority of bars. Sure, there are those generic spots that everyone should avoid, but outside of those sad places, most bars, lounges, dives and dancehalls are pretty fun, provided you’re in the right mood for the right bar (so, probably no need to visit a high-end cocktail spot if you wanna have a beer and watch the game, and vice versa). where to watch the seahawks game in seattle magazine
Back when the 2013/14 football season was just beginning (ah, memories), we polled our Facebook readers to find out the best spots to watch the Hawks. You can read the full list here; there are tons of great, rowdy places on the list. Now that our team is 13-3 and heading into the second round playoffs against the (12-5) New Orleans Saints, we thought we'd add a few more haunts perfect for watching the big game.

The New Year isn’t yet in full swing, so if you haven’t made your resolutions there is still plenty of time. I’d like to suggest that you not only include normal resolutions (losing a few extra pounds, saving a few extra bucks), but also a few resolutions distinctly related to cocktails and spirits. Sad news out of Queen Anne today: Gift shop Charley + May is closing at the end of January. “After three years the shop is not self sustaining,” said owner Lauren Formicola in her email to the public, “and growth of the shop is limited due to location, space and low pedestrian traffic.” Swing by between now and the end of the month to say goodbye and to snatch up remaining merchandise for 30 to 75 percent off. Displays and shop props are also for sale.

A few weeks ago I had my aura and past lives read by parfumeur and clairvoyant Yosh at Barneys (apparently I have a lovely champagne blush color around me and was a Mayan shaman in a past life, but I bet she says that to all the girls) and next week, Tuesday, January 14, the AstroTwins, Tali and Ophira Edut, will be at the downtown Nordstrom from 6 to 8 p.m.
