!–paging_filter–pIt’s always exciting to get to know a new designer in town, and I’m particularly excited about Debbie Robert’s just-launched line, a href=”http://silvaeofthewoods.com/” target=”_blank”Silvae/a (Latin for “of the woods”)./p
pRoberts looks to the terrain of the Pacific Northwest for her muse, blending organic elements with excellent fit and construction to create a collection that is at once innovative, completely on-trend, familiar, exciting and easy to see being worn by today’s girl-on-the-street (probably a Capitol Hill street)./p
pI can’t pick a favorite from Robert’s Spring 2014 collection (her first), but the silk Isotria kimono-inspired dress (pictured above) is very near the top. I think it’s the most perfect, easy, breezy spring dress./p
pStay tuned for more on this interesting new designer, including where to purchase her stuff./p
