Loss Machine

Seattle has a weird yet wonderful wealth of talented puppeteers, and Seattle mag Spotlight Award winner Kyle Loven is one of the best. His spooky performances aren’t intended for kids—due as much to the themes of nostalgia as to the haunting atmosphere—but for adults, his work is transporting. In this new Rube Goldberg–esque piece, Loven treats us to an intricately crafted world of lost items, from those as tangible as socks to those as ephemeral as memory.
