Fashion+ Style: The Hill’s new vintage clothing boutique and early bird blowouts at Mane

I was truly, truly sad when Atlas Clothing shuttered it’s Capitol Hill location last year (although they have re-emerged on Etsy and at the Fremont Vintage Mall, thank heavens). But it seems the 10th Ave space is destined to remain a vintage-lover’s hub: Kaleidoscope Vision is opening in the space this week.

Run by Ria Rabut, Mackenzie Garfield and Sophia Phillips- who already maintain a gorgeous online vintage boutique (wares pictured above)- the space will house a revolving collection of men’s and women’s vintage wear (often curated by theme, which will change monthly) as well as books, perfumes and other accessories. Let’s give these stylish new shop owners a warm welcome, shall we?

I’m already infatuated with Mane Blow Dry Bar’s swanky interior (see above), but I have fallen even more in love: The downtown blow dry bar is offering Early Bird blow-outs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. by appointment on weekday mornings to help tame your tresses for big board meetings, or to save those of us who would rather have someone else manage the early morning tangles. Book an appointment here.
