Entry Category: Emerging Designer

Designer Name: Bri Seeley

Line: Bri Seeley Designs

Branding Statement/ Bio Info:

Bri Seeley Designs provides fashion for the inspired and self aware woman.

Explanation of Line:

Bri Seeley’s collections strive to positively impact the lives of her clients through daily ready-to-wear garments.  Through her designs, Bri works to renew a sense of pride and femininity in American women’s fashion. The designs are simple and classic, yet have a flare of femininity about them.  Bri Seeley uses primarily natural fibers in her garments, and is dedicated to using American manufacturers.

Target Market:

The primary Bri Seeley Designs customers are self-aware and confident women with a sense of community that live a purposeful life.  Bri Seeley Designs customers have a disposable income.  They may live on a budget, but paying for quality, unique, and local fashion is a priority budget item.  Bri Seeley Designs customers want to feel extraordinary every day.  They take pride in their silhouette and emphasize it through their fashion choices without needing to show skin.  They aren’t afraid to stand out in a crowd or have attention directed toward them.

Differentiating Factor:

Bri Seeley’s designs stand out from other products on the market as they enhance ones self confidence.  Bri’s garments are created to allow ones personality to shine and communicate to the world their inner persona.  When seen wearing a Bri Seeley design, spectators are more likely to ask “Who is she?” rather than “What is she wearing?”

How Line Meets Market Needs:

Bri’s experience has taught her that women not only require fun, unique, and comfortable clothing, but they also look for functionality.  Bri’s first collection has successfully covered all of these objectives.  For example, the high waisted skirt which is available in grey or black.  This skirt was designed to be feminine, playful, classy, and practical.  It was made more functional through the addition of two deep pockets at the hip.  Bri has personally worn this skirt to a networking event.  It eliminated the need to carry a bulky bag and allowed her to carry her necessities (business cards and cell phone) while keeping her hands free.  A client saw this skirt and commented, “A skirt with pockets? Genius! Only you could create something so smart and sassy!”

Price Point:

The garments in the Fall, 2011 collection range from $125.00 to $275.00 (retail).
