The new “European Masters” show at SAM features some beautiful works of old-school oil painting, including pieces by Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Gainsborough, Romney, Reynolds and Turner. But among the artfully wrought portraits and grand landscapes you’ll also find some inspiring hairstyles from back in the day. If you’ve already tried mullets, shags and mop tops, you may want to go even more retro, with one of these hot 200-year-old haircuts, expertly captured by the Euro Masters.
