Easy access to a cabin getaway is one of the reasons people live in Seattle, and if you don’t have to battle other renters vying for the same bunks, so much the better! Log cabins in the Northwest come in all calibers (from classic Unabomber to “Are you sure that isn’t a hotel?”). Naturally, you’ll pay a bit more to be close to ski resorts and other amenities (and to amp up your nature experience with Wi-Fi and cable television). But there’s a whole lot of outdoors out there, peppered with retreats for sale that meet all the different definitions of “rustic.”
