Seattle filmmaker Lynn Shelton (Humpday; Your Sister’s Sister) is proving unstoppable. Her newest work revolves around a massage therapist who suddenly finds herself repulsed by human touch, and her brother, whose dental practice suddenly gets a boost. Starring Rosemarie DeWitt, Allison Janney and Ellen Page, Touchy Feely premiered at Sundance this year, but has yet to be screened for Shelton’s mighty hometown fan base. Bonus Shelton shot: SIFF will also host the U.S. premiere of Do Not Disturb, the reportedly hilarious French remake of Humpday, as a double feature with the original film.
SIFF runs 5/16–6/9. Times, prices and locations vary. siff.net
