My collection is based on the concept of pastries in French afternoon tea party. I used pastel colors in the collection because my target customers are teenager sweet actresses like Chloe Moretz, or sweet girls who have celebrity parents or family. The collection of cocktail dresses will be worn to a commercial event or a formal party. I used the combination of white lace and baby blue nylon cotton fabric with matte shine to create the glamorous look for the young ladies. In order to look higher end, I beaded the chocker with pearls and rhinestones. A sew on petticoat is included in the dress in order to create the puffiness.
Reni Ruan is an independent designer label. Its target customers are young ladies who are between ages of 16 and 23 years old and aspire to be outstanding women in the future. According to customers’ personalities, Reni Ruan provides three lines of design; they are sweet, independent and charming. At a particular age, every little girl wants to become someone’s princess or queen, and this brand will help her accomplish this little desire in her heart. Wanting to be mature but unwilling to give up innocence is Reni Ruan customers’ common characteristic.
