!–paging_filter–pI’m back with another entry in the Tough Life journal./p
pThis time, I, along with the other editors of emSeattle/em magazine, was treated to strongseveral dozen still-warm, just-baked cookies from Robin Wehl/strong, who’s opening her first cookie shop, a href=”https://www.facebook.com/hellorobincookies” target=”_blank”Hello Robin/a, in early December on Capitol Hill’s 19th Avenue./p
pWehl, who will be sharing space with Molly Moon’s Ice Cream (there’ll be a seasonal walk-up window like at the laundromat in Madrona) and will be neighbors with Linda Derschang’s latest, Tallulah’s (a href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com/capitol-hill-19th-new-12th” target=”_blank”more on that here/a), will be making ice cream sandwiches with her cookies and Molly Moon’s ice cream./p
pToday, Wehl stopped by with six varieties for us to try, including one made with chopped up brownies (above right), stronga melty and quite spicy chocolate chip-orange zest-habanero version/strong (above left) and the office favorite, a perfectly moist, chewy, classic molasses cookie. These guys are on the small side, but they are tasty./p
pWehl says she’s on schedule to open in mid-December. But strongthe news of the day is that Hello Robin will be open on Christmas Day!/strong Wehl is Jewish, and Hanukkah’s early this year, so it all works out. Wehl told me she’s excited to be open to serve warm goodies and coffee to her friends, family and neighbors on Dec. 25th./p
