Celebrate Mothers Day out of the house and into the outdoors...

By Roddy Scheer May 4, 2010

Looking to do something different with Mom this Mothers Day? Seattle Parks naturalists are leading a Mothers Day Walk through Carkeek Park. Check out spring wildflowers and learn about one of Seattle’s largest urban watersheds.

The walk starts at 1:30 pm at the McAbee Entrance of the park (6th Ave. NW & NW 100th Pl.), Don’t fret: tea and treats will be available mid-walk in Carkeek’s orchard. The walk is free, but pre-registration is required; email Bill.Malatinsky@seattle.gov for more info.
