Fashion + Style: Best Local Black Friday Deals

Stop in at SPUN for locally-made garments

One week folks; that is, one week until the biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday. Although I know some will never even bother with bed (many big boxes are opening at midnight this year), my Black Friday approach is a tad more leisurely, hopping into the wealth of great local shops and stops with same great deals running all weekend, and less of the mania. Join me at the following, won’t you?

+ Glorious, sophisticated Canopy Blue in Madison Park is offering 20% off any black-hued item (including handbags, garments and candles) on both Black Friday and next Saturday as well.

+ Next Saturday and Sunday, the Etsy Rain holiday fair sets up shop at the Seattle Center and featuring a wealth of local Etsy artisans and their unqiue handmade products. Great gifts abound, from HauteGoat’s warm cozy cashmere scarves to Bunny’s Baked Goods’ vintage plate cake stands (above). Also expect great jewelry finds.

+ Snag some sweet scents at Knows Perfume in West Seattle, where owner Christen Cottam will be offering 25% off her selection of perfumes, candles and little gifts items. (For every $50 spent, she’ll also throw in a free Mixture candle.)

+ One of our favorite new boutiques of the past year (pictured above), local designer hub Spun Sustainable Collective will be offering 20% off all merchandise (maybe grab a Cameron Levin holiday frock for yourself while you’re gift shopping). Get an extra $20 added when you buy a $100/more gift card.

+ Grab new gear and dudes for skater-fiends and ski bunnies at Evo’s massive, off-site Barnstorm Sale at the Pickering Barn in Issaquah. The Fremont-based ski and skate shop is offering 70% off skis, boots, bindings and outerwear starting November 22 and running through Saturday, November 27.

+ I’ve certainly not kept my affinity for Butter Home a secret, but there is a very good reason why. And that is because it is awesome (how’s that for blunt?). Take 10% percent off their sweet wares on Friday, then I’d recommend staying on the Hill; check this link for a plethora of deals being offered by the shops in the neighborhood.

+ Or, don’t even bother leaving your cozy abode: Bainbridge design minds Grain (how sweet are these electric cord rings?) are celebrating their new and approved website all this week, offering 15% all creations (punch in NEWSITE at checkout to redeem).
