Fashion + Style Friday: New downtown blow-dry bar, Suzabelle’s spring collection and darling locally made daypacks
Now that we are all back from the holidays (well, physically at least, my brain might still be on vacation) it’s time to welcome back our weekly round-up of all things related to shopping and style:
- Mane Blow Dry Bar opens up shop today at 7th and Pine downtown and holy moly, have they spruced up the joint (pictured above and below). The luxe space is decorated with posh chandeliers, mod chairs and big black and white photos of icons like Audrey Hepburn. You’ll want to hang out there, both to soak up the swank décor and for the $35 styling menu. Book online with their easy system, and then head down for a quick 45-minute hair makeover.
- I’m on the hunt for a durable, yet cute, rucksack to strap on while biking or gallivanting around town. I found the goods on Lopez Island courtesy of the island’s Barnacle Bags hemp canvas backpacks, which can be rolled down and snapped shut to snugly secure your load. Snag one for yourself on their Etsy page for your own urban adventure.
- Confession: I regularly stalk local designer Suzabelle’s website to see if that talented gal has new designs. And by regularly, I mean like every week. Naturally, I was delighted to find her new spring 2012 collection online yesterday and I’m betting you’ll be just as smitten with her colorful new pattern work.
