Saturday (9/14, noon to 6:00 p.m.) — The former INS building turned artist hive opens its doors this weekend, inviting visitors to see (and buy!) paintings, drawings, photography, jewelry, textiles, metalwork and beyond from more than 50 Seattle artists.

Seattle Design Festival
(9/13 to 9/22, times vary) — This year’s 10-day festival of architecture and design boasts more than 60 events, including the Explore Design Home Tour, a design-focused film festival and the popular Design Block, featuring an array of intriguing and interactive inventions, including human-powered machines.
Seattle Seahawks’ Home Opener
Sunday (9/15, 5:30 p.m.) — You can still find tickets for the Seahawks’ home opener against arch-rivals the San Francisco 49ers, but they’ll cost you a pretty penny. If you’d rather root for the ‘Hawks in a more cost-efficient manner (yet still be among fellow fans), here’s where to go.

Xanadu: The Musical
(9/12 to 10/20, times vary) — A surprise hit on Broadway, the local take on Xanadu: The Musical skates into Issaquah’s Village Theatre, promising high camp and big laughs.
