Renowned Writers Read at the Hugo House
Friday (11/15, 7:30 p.m.) — The Hugo House literary series returns, asking writers to craft new work on a theme: This time it’s “The Paper Chase,” as in, from rags to riches. Hear what Dorothy Allison (Bastard Out of Carolina), Stephen Elliott (editor of The Rumpus), Kirsten Sundberg Lunstrum (Swimming with Strangers) and Seattle musician Levi Fuller created.

Five-Course Feast at Trellis Brewer’s Dinner
Friday (11/15, 6:30 p.m.) — Trellis’ executive chef Brian Scheehser paired up with Portland chef-turned-brewer Bryan Keilty (Lompoc Brewing) back in September to craft a batches of beer using ingredients from Scheehser’s farm. The new brews will be unveiled along with a five-course dinner.

Recess Monkey Rocks Teatro Zinzanni
Sunday (11/17, 11 a.m.) — Seattle kindie rock band Recess Monkey entertains the little ones with a slew of songs from new album Desert Island Disc. The show opens with the group aboard the Tambourine Submarine as it crashes into a deserted island, where a circus of high jinks ensues.
