!–paging_filter–pKay Smith-Blum has been buying clothing for a href=”http://\/\/seattlemag.com.239elwb01.blackmesh.com/butch-blum“Butch Blum/a for 40 years and definitely has the eye for it—given the shop’s continued success. During a recent buying trip to New York, Smith-Blum journeyed way past Canal St. on Broadway in the rain, dodging pothole and mud-flying from taxi-cab wheels, to visit designer a href=”http://jiohny.com/” target=”_blank”Ji Oh’s/a showroom. “So Ji starts to show me the collection and after about five fabulous pieces I realize this is special,” say Smith-Blum. “A cross between a young Donna Karan and the lux fabrics and clean lines of Michael Kors! I then put my elbows on the table, clasped my hands, and told her ‘young lady, you are very talented.’ I immediately nailed down a trunk show date and am very pleased to be introducing her to the NW!”/p
pMeet the designer, Ji Oh, and see what Smith-Blum saw (we agree, BTW, this designer is something special) at a trunk show at Butch Blum on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7. A celebratory cocktail party is on for 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday night to fete the fabulous Ms. Oh. RSVP to a href=”mailto:promotions@butchblum.compromotions@butchblum.com/a if you’d like to attend the party./p
