Patagonia's Worn Wear Program

Recycle your worn Patagonia wear for credit towards brand new gear

Coveted outdoor brand, Patagonia, recently announced an expansion of their new Worn Wear used clothing program that the company launched as a pilot project in the Portland store.

Now Seattle and seven other stores across the nation are accepting used Patagonia shells, fleece, down and synthetic insulation jackets and ski and alpine pants for a trade-in credit valued at 50 percent of the price of the item after it sells in the store's Common Threads Worn Wear section. Worn Wear is part of the brand's Common Threads Partnership, which encourages its customers to reduce, repair, reuse and recycle their Patagonia products for the items full life. In return Patagonia pledges to "build useful things that last, repair what breaks and recycle items that customers return."

Customers can use their credit in-store and online. The Seattle store will host a launch event later this fall. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for more details.
