Friday (6/4) • If you didn’t have plans Friday night, you do now. Seattle Art Museum’s Remix is literally mixing it up with its always fun, late-night party for 20- and 30-somethings. From guided tours, to a live DJ set, to a fashion show courtesy of the folks at Ballard’s New York Fashion Academy, you’ll find plenty of ways to get your culture fix at SAM. If that’s not enough, grab a gaggle of friends and join in on an after hours tour of the museum, led by a local arts expert. Oh yeah, arrive early. Knute Berger’s “Mossback” cocktail
After reading Knute Berger's Grey Matters editorial about classic seafood joint Ivar's in our April issue, the company went and made him a star; they've created a cocktail in his honor. Head down to Ivar's Acres of Clams (that's the one on the waterfront) and run, don't walk, to the Clam Diggers Lounge for a MossBack Nectar (Absolute Citron, Absolute Peppar, clam nectar, clamato and served with a sauteed clam & tomato garnish). Ivar's Jim Worth tells me the cocktail will be availabe starting this Friday, June 4th, for $8.50, and adds "Those who are so bold can get the $2.50 clam nectar chaser." And those who love to live vicariously can tune in to hear Berger taste the drink live on KUOW (94.9 FM) this Friday around 10:45am.
