Happy almost weekend shoppers! It has been a busy week between Seattle Shopping Week Out and a truly amazing Fashion First show last night, which raised a record-breaking $50K for Rise n’ Shine kids.
Naturally, the partying and shopping (plus holy cats, some serious rain) this week has done a number on my hair. Thankfully, I’m indulging in some hairapy from local hair care line Coy, created by Derby Salon owner Allison Etter. I’ve already blown through the uber-moisturizing, luxe Nourish shampoo and conditioner, desperately trying to squeeze the last lovely drop out this morning, and the rest of the product line awaits: curl texturizing cream, a foundation spray to help texturize air dried hair and a sweet finishing serum. The newly launched line is only available online at the moment, but I’m guessing you should see this affordable little gem popping up in salons ‘round town soon.
I love me a chunky scarf, but as a rather petite gal, I have a hard time finding scarves that don’t completely consume me (or hit the floor because they are so long). Popping by one of my favorite boutiques last week, I discovered local gal Rian Robison’s Tuesday infinity scarves at Momo in the I.D. The versatile cotton beauty is the perfect length, worn in one long loop, wrapped around twice for a cozy necklace, or even pulled up as a hood against the rain. Plus, her mod 60s-inspired prints are just plain fun. Grab one at Momo, or visit her etsy shop.
Seattle Shopping Week Out is going out with a bang today and tomorrow with a pop-up shop at The Bravern featuring local designers including former Seamless in Seattle winners Jesica Milton, Out of Line by Beki Wilson and Wyatt Orr. Located in the former Arthur space, local handbag designer Rocco e Dante, Mandy Moon Vintage jewelry and funky Fabel headwear will also be on hand.
