Short Stories Live: Holiday Classics
Sunday (12/19) - Town Hall and A Contemporary Theatre combine forces for this afternoon of unconventional Christmas stories, poems and music. Local actors Frank Corrado, Julie Briskman and Jean Sherrard bring to life a stocking full of funny stories by authors such as Grace Paley, Ron Carlson and Muriel Spark. Lynn Shelton’s $5 Cover on MTV
Seattle music has evolved significantly since the Doc Martens were shelved. Now local filmmaker Lynn Shelton is chronicling the latest and greatest in Seattle’s indie scene with her new MTV show, $5 Cover: Seattle. The 12-part onlnie series features 13 Seattle bands (THEESatisfaction, Whiskey Tango, The Lights, The Moondoggies, Corespondents, Champagne, Champagne, Sean Nelson and more), 35 locations and the cast is mainly Seattle musicians. Fake Snow! Pacific Place & The Bellevue Collection
Through 12/31 - Dreams of a White Christmas can become reality with some of the local fake snow showing around the city. Downtown’s Pacific Place will literally have snow inside the mall (6 p.m. daily) along with musical entertainment. Head to the Eastside for Bellevue’s Snowflake Lane (along Bellevue Way and Northeast Eighth Street at The Bellevue Collection), which offers nightly snowfalls along with a live toy soldier show and light displays and holiday music (7p.m, daily).
