Stuffed with beautiful pictures of giant burgers, shimmering with cheese- and bacon-covered goodness, our January Best Burgers issue makes me want a burger so bad, sometimes it hurts.
I don’t think I’m alone. The tireless Seattle mag event staff has kicked it into high gear and organized a creative new event called the Burger Brawl, going down January 26 at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center on Pier 66.
The objective at the Burger Brawl? Eat a lot of burgers.
Don’t have to tell me twice.
But these aren’t just any burgers. These are burgers featured in our Best Burgers cover story, including those from Bravehorse Tavern, Charlie’s, Skillet Diner and several more.
Just for this event, participating restaurants will prepare their signature burger in “slider” form. That is, a tiny burger on an adorable, tiny bun. Trust me, you can eat lots of these. So, for one night only, you can sample most of our Best Burgers all in one room.
And, of course, your burger will taste even better as you enjoy it in the company of other burger lovers, including yours truly and several other shining faces from the Seattle mag team.
Your $40 ticket includes access to all the sliders you can eat, two drink tickets (we’ll have beer and wine), and a $5 donation to benefit Beef Counts (the Washington Beef Industry’s initiative to help feed hungry families). Purchase tickets in advance via Brown Paper Tickets.
We want to follow your burger sampling quest. If you're Tweeting at Burger Brawl, use the hashtag #burgerme.
