My friend Francisco Hernandez is an incredibly talented designer with a wonderfully generous spirit. His seven year-old line, Built For Man, provides comfortable, wearable, sexy and unique clothing for men, in part made by artisans in Peru, for whom he provides a living through their traditional looming techniques. On Tuesday, March 19 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., Francisco and Built for Man are hosting their 5th annual fall/winter presentation, The Man of the Future, at the Seattle Asian Art Museum, where very attractive men will walk the runway in knits, leather goods and woven alpaca scarves and hand warmers.
VIP tickets are $100 and include wine, hors d'oeuvre, front row seating, a $50 credit towards any Built For Man product at David Lawrence at The Bravern and a pair of arm warmers. General admission is $75, which also includes wine and nibbles, as well as a seat and a $50 credit to David Lawrence. A percentage of tickets sales will benefit the Seattle Art Museum.
