If these five incidences are any indication, there's been something strange in the Alki air lately. Under the cover of night, one or several unidentified provocateurs have apparently made a hobby of leaving ambiguous messages out in public, which have taken the form of rock piles, printed phrases, and, most recently, art/protest "installations." What to make of it all?
The investigation remains unresolved; for updates, check under the "Comments" section of the West Seattle blog, which has been on top of the happenings from the beginning. Of course, it's quite possible that the case warrants a more savvy investigator than those who are participating in said colorful, heated and always entertaining commentary.
The latest incident involves a giant hatchet at Statue of Liberty Plaza.
