Seattle will host its first NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship at Key Arena on Thursday, December 19 and Saturday, December 21. Our very own No. 3-seeded University of Washington (30-2) women’s volleyball team is taking on the No. 2-seeded Penn State (32-2) in the semifinals at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
The Huskies, who earned this year’s Pac 12 Volleyball Championship title and are fighting to clinch their second national volleyball championship since 2005 will face a hungry Nittany Lions team who are returning to the Final Four for the second straight year. The winner of this matchup will battle against either (1) Texas or (12) Wisconsin in the National Championship game on December 21.
So come Thursday evening, swap your holiday-party attire for purple and gold and cheer on the Huskies!
