You carved the pumpkin; you might as well eat it for dessert.

MORA Iced Creamery
The new Jack-o’-Lantern Ice Cream flavor from this Bainbridge Island ice creamery is a spin on MORA’s own traditional Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream, but with Belgian chocolate added to the mix. Don’t live near one of their far flung locations? No worries, the ice cream will be available for purchase online.

A La Mode Pies
The pie at this Phinneywood cafe is good year around. But you can’t not try one of their fall flavors, including Holiday Pumpkin Pie (below) or the Apple and Ginger Pear Pie.

A La Mode Pies' Holiday Pumpkin
Full Tilt Ice Cream
The funky ice cream store/arcade is throwing a special seasonal Pumpkin Fest at its White Center location, featuring pumpkin beers and original pumpkin ice creams in a mishmash of floats and milkshakes. Can’t make the party? Try picking up a tub of their Hot Buttered Rum Batter flavor at the White Center, Ballard or Columbia City shops this week.

Peak’s Frozen Custard
This Saturday (10/27), enjoy Peaks Pumpkin flavor, a sweet and spicy twist on this unique dessert. Regularly rotating flavors are tracked in detail on this handy calendar; we’re also intrigued by Chocolate Pretzel and Fall in Latte.

D’ambrosio Gelato
If you’ve got a hankering to try Pumpkin Gelato, try it at this local favorite gelato shop. Bonus: throughout the month of October,  they’re advertising free waffle cones on their Facebook page.

Other fall flavors…
Sweet Mickey’s
This adorable retro candy shop in Ballard advertised Caramel Apple, Gingerbread and Molasses salt water taffy flavors on their Facebook page this week. Yum. Also check out their fall truffles and caramel apples.

Hot Cakes
Butterbeer?!?
A la Harry Potter? Yep. Leslie Kelly first raved about this when she tasted it at An Incredible Feast; now you can find it on the chic Ballard dessert bar’s new fall menu. Flavors include: Butterscotch, fresh apple cider, ginger & sparkling wine.

Macrina Bakery & Cafe
As a preview of their Thanksgiving dessert offerings (mental note: order one of these in advance for your own holiday feast), Macrina is offering tartlets in their cafes. Taste Orange Pecan, Maple Sugar Apple and Pumpkin Tartlets and write it off as important personal research. Also try their seasonal breads.

And in case you prefer to drink your dessert…

Walrus and the Carpenter
If the name doesn’t elevate your curiosity enough to order one, perhaps the ingredients will: Walrus’ Mustache Ride brings together bourbon, Cynar, St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram, maple simple syrup and lemon.

Also: our own cocktails guru A.J. Rathbun recommends recipes for fall cocktails and even “fall-ier” apple-inspired cocktails; while beer expert Kendall Jones suggests his favorite local fall brews.
