Jill Wenger, the owner of men’s, women’s and home accessories boutique Totokaelo on Capitol Hill, gave some serious Seattle shout-outs in a recent interview with the New York TimesT Magazine. In it, she praises Spinasse and Bar Sajor as two of her favorite nosh spots as well as Il Corvo for lunch and Mr. Gyros on Phinney Ridge for great cheap eats.

Mr. Gyros Seattle in Phinney Ridge is easy and always great. It’s a family joint and the owners are consistently present and welcoming to guests. It’s one of those places where you’re recognized and treated like a regular after your first visit.”

Wenger also tells T that she has collaborated with Rachel Marshall of Rachel’s Ginger Beer to create a Totokaelo flavor that’s set to launch in June. What will it taste like? Stay tuned for word on that one.

Of course, the interview is not all about our amazing food scene. See the rest of Wenger’s Seattle loves in T Magazine here.
