D. Scully, a Seattle native, is an award-winning copywriter, author and playwright.
He’s been commissioned to create original pieces for ACT Theatre, Seattle Children’s Theater, Milwaukee Repertory Theater and has enjoyed world premiers of his plays in Seattle, Oregon, Washington D.C. and Chicago. He’s also been honored with awards, grants and fellowships from the Seattle Arts Commission, Jack Straw Productions, Artist Trust, and Columbia College in Chicago.
His game writing earned him the All Star Software Award and he’s written political satire for NPR including the political sketch comedy program, Rewind. He’s also written sketch comedy for NBC and is the proud recipient of the coveted Telly Award.
When he’s not writing about the arts, Scully works as a copywriter for an eclectic group of clients, and he’s won an award in the "book" category (for copywriting) from Graphic Design USA.
